As a boss, this article really rings true for me. An employee is only as good as their boss.  Just think about the last time you were somewhere where the employees were spending all of their time horsing around (a fast food establishment maybe?).  How good do you think their boss was?  How happy were you as a customer?  If the employees were working really hard, doing what they were supposed to be doing - how would your experience have been different?  In what way would this make the boss look better?
